Heads and Tails: Insects by John Candy is a fun read for summer and insect passionate students. It's a guess the animal mystery on each page. Each page has three clues and ends with I am a....turn the page adventure. The mysteries are accessible to younger students with the illustration clue on the far right of the two page spread. Each mystery has three lines of text/clues and the vocabulary in each will lead a great discussion about word choice and what nonfiction information is actually being shared.
