Dusting Off My Writing Spaces {SOS: Magic in a Blog}

Dusting off my writing spaces.

It's easy to get bogged down with a schedule, a plan or focus, the when and/or the how of writing. I often find myself spinning my wheels waiting for the moment to start or the just right date.

I have lots of ambitions. I love to share images from my classroom on Instagram. I like writing on Twitter to share professional things and ask questions of others to help me with my own thinking. My blog has brought me joy. I have various notebooks for started with lots of waiting. Memory keeping is very important to me and yet all the materials are dusty. Digital vs. paper planning is a constant conversation going on in my mind.

I wonder if I truly need a plan and/or focus for these different forms of writing.

Reading the prompt with the Sharing our Stories: Magic in a Blog reminded me maybe all of these ambitions are possible with habits. No wonder dusts has collected.

So, I dusted off a notebook system I've dabbled in previously.

I have three notebooks together in a sleeve holder; professional, personal, and a list notebook. I have a favorite pen and I'm ready for tomorrow. The habit I'm looking for is to put words on the page to help foster my different writing spaces.
Invitation accepted.

  2. I am intrigued by the idea of a list notebook. I hope your three notebook system supports your writing habit. I blog regularly but my journal writing habit has not yet been as sustainable.

  3. Your notebooks sound like travelers notebooks. I am considering buying one of those. I hope your notebook system has been successful!

  5. I like the idea of list notebook too. I can always find time to write a list. Then I can go back and use it to mine ideas. Thank yous
