The scent of spring brings a skip to my step. The fresh green growth brings an earthy scent. There's the scent of fresh rain water soaking the ground. Together they melt into the scent of spring. The warmer temperatures seem to enhance the smells.
The other day during recess duty the sun was beating down on the black top and there was another scent; a scent of warmth. There was no skip in my step. I found myself wishing the playground was empty and I could lay down on the blacktop taking in all the scents of warmth and bask in the sun.
What an interesting twist around the scents of spring.
Today I accept the invitation to write with Sharing our Stories: Magic in a Blog.
The skip and the basking in the sun both are part of the arrival of spring. I like how you connected all the different scents in this post.ReplyDelete
I love the idea of those scents melting into spring.ReplyDelete
I am so looking forward to being able to bask in the sun. It's back in the 20s here tonight. Surely spring is coming!ReplyDelete
