There have been many times as my girls get older I am grateful for my third daughter. Today was one of those times. We drove to the beach. She was the only brave soul who went in. She danced. She sang. She twirled. She collected sea shells. She smiled and laughed. It was so much fun to sit in the sun and watch her be joyful. She was embracing life, carefree and happy. I hope she can bottle that as she gets older.
Going to the beach with your daughters; definitely a special time!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteLike my daughter (now 20), she sounds like a person who knows how to make her own happiness. This is a wonderful gift that will bring you peace of mind as she gets older. I think my daughter does have it bottled--inside. :)
ReplyDeleteShe's inspiring me to bottle up that joy and energy for myself too. Thanks for your slice today.

I love her joy at dancing in the waves. I hope it's warmer where you are than here where we are expecting snow tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice to see our children be joyful and carefree. It's a good reminder to me to try to do the same. I hope it's nice and warm for you. We have a winter storm watch for tomorrow. I feel like I'm on Winter break. :) Enjoy Mandy!
